A New Perspective on Leadership (and why it matters)
Hello,
I’ve been thinking a lot about leadership lately. Not the kind we talk about in theory, but what it actually looks like in practice.
What I see, over and over, is this: Capable, respected, successful leaders—
carrying more than they need to, overthinking decisions, and feeling the pressure of it all… even when things are going well.
And when pressure increases, it shows up in predictable ways:
- decisions slow down or don’t stick
- communication gets unclear
- performance becomes harder to sustain
And there is a better way to overcome these challenges.
That’s what this new newsletter, JT Power Perspective, is about.
A space where I share what I’m seeing beneath the surface of leadership, self-trust, and power—and how to lead with clarity, calm, and consistency… without running on pressure.
Not more to do. Not more to manage. Just a sharper way to see—and lead.
To start, I’m sharing an article I recently wrote.
It reflects a core belief I have: Sustainable performance doesn’t come from process. It comes from how leaders operate—especially under pressure.
If you take one thing from this:
You don’t need to carry everything to lead well.
You don’t need more pressure to perform.
You need clarity. Self-trust. And a way of leading that actually holds—at work and in your life.
Because winning shouldn’t be something you manage. It should be something you get to enjoy.
That’s what I’ll be writing about here.
I’m glad you’re here.
Jessica
